A new museum focused on optical illusions is scheduled to open in the Loop on Saturday, Nov. 14. Museum of Illusions Chicago, located at 25 E. Washington St., is the latest addition to the Museum of Illusions line of museums, a project originally launched in Zagreb, Croatia, in 2015 that has since expanded to more than a dozen cities worldwide.
According to the museum's website, the "one-of-a-kind edutainment destination" offers more than 80 exhibits, including stereograms, holograms and immersive rooms created to challenge visitors' senses and perception. Tickets can be purchased online at https://moichicago.com and cost $21 for adults; $18 for teachers, senior citizens, students 13 and up with valid ID and military members and first responders with valid ID; and $15 for children 5-12 years old.
Children younger than 5 have free admission.
